THE annual Greenwich Meridian 10km road-race, organised by Cambridge Harriers Athletic Club, will be held on Sunday, March 3.
It starts at 9.30am in Greenwich Royal Park and this year's race is expected to attract some of the top athletes in the area. It is an ideal race for runners of any standard, many of whom use it as training for the London Marathon.
Thanks to sponsorship from ACE Security Systems Bromley and Sutcliffe Park Track Management, there will be prize-money for the first male and female finishers.
Also, prize money will also be given to the first male and female to cross the Meridian line, which is the halfway point in the race, while there are also team prizes and commemorative award for all finishers.
There will also be a fun run starting at 11.30am with prizes given to all children who finish. You can enter on the day but if you want full details, call Andy Stowe on 020 7865 3038.
