TROJANS 27 WARLINGHAM 0

Warlingham travelled a long way to come home empty handed after being dominated by Trojans on Saturday.

With Warlingham running against a strong wind in the first half, the consensus at half-time was that Trojans' 10-point lead was never going to be enough.

But the home side had other ideas and they knuckled down admirably in the second half, keeping the ball tight and not giving Warlingham sufficient possession to release their backs.

The turning point came when the referee sin-binned Jon Smith for an alleged professional foul. This gave Trojans an edge in the pack and they took full advantage, scoring two further tries and a goal.

On the plus side, the combination of Alex Glover and Michael Collins definitely gives Warlingham another option at halfback. Both had fine games.

Warlingham missed a couple of penalty attempts but it was never going to be their day, especially when they lost Michael Collins for the last five minutes through yet another ill-judged yellow card.
