A CAR smashed through railings at an Isle of Wight seafront car park this morning (Thursday), leaving it hanging precariously over concrete sea defences
This dramatic picture was sent to the County Press by Louise James, on holiday from the United States, just after the accident took place at around 8.30am at Totland.
It shows the vehicle precariously perched on the edge of the wall near the Waterside bar and restaurant.
An Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue crew from Freshwater was called to the scene.
The driver was treated for shock at the scene by ambulance crews but she was not taken to hospital.
*The car was recovered by Stag Lane Motors and not the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, as originally reported.
