Coulsdon High school's newly appointed headmaster Colin Mackinlay is looking forward to his getting stuck into the post when he starts work this April and intends to take the school from strength to strength.

Mr Mackinlay said: "I am delighted to be joining Coulsdon High School at this exciting time in its development. The confident and articulate young people that I have met this week have particularly impressed me, they are a credit to the community and a testament to the commitment and dedication of the outstanding staff at the school.

The Cambridge graduate, due to leave his post as deputy headteacher of Feltham Community College in April, added: "I very much look forward to working with everyone at Coulsdon High to make a good school even better."
