Luca Vialli's no compromising philosophy has produced another piece of silverware, his fourth in a couple of years. It is not the Champions' league but it's just as good in my book.

The FA Cup Final was great, the day was fraught with nervous apprehension, the game, so, so. The lifting of the cup by Dennis and little Henry, a pre-planned piece, was fitting for the last final of the old Wembley and the parade on Sunday brilliant.

Now the final chapter of the season is about to be written.

Who is staying and who is going? It's a safe bet that Vialli would be happy to keep his stars and add a couple more.

He will have to make it known to a couple of players that they will never figure in his first-team plans, that way he hopes they will go without resistance.
