A FALLEN tree is causing traffic delays in Shanklin this morning (Tuesday).

Isle of Wight Council highways officers were called to the scene, at Cowleaze Road, to clear the tree.

Southern Vectis reported its 8.40am Route 3 service, which serves Ryde, Ventnor and Newport, was delayed until 9.10am.

*The Isle of Wight Council said its contractors had cleared the fallen tree and the road is open to traffic.
