A charity is looking for runners who have been accepted to run in the 1999 Flora London Marathon on Sunday, April 18th.

The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust wants runners to compete for them. And by joining the trust's team runners will be helping leukaemia sufferers, whose only chance of survival is a bone marrow transplant.

Paul Rushton, events and projects manager for the charity said: "In 1999 we celebrate 25 years of life-giving service with our Silver Lining Appeal.

"Our aim is to recruit an additional 120,000 donors before the millennium and ensure a brighter future for many more patients suffering from bone marrow deficiency diseases."

And he added that money raised by runners may well help to save the life of a patient in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant.

If you have a place in the marathon and would like to run for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust contact Paul Rushton on 01865 875758.
