THE floating bridge is due to return to service on Thursday, according to the Isle of Wight Council.

It was hoped the Cowes-East Cowes chain ferry would be back on Wednesday, following maintenance, however the council has said the return had been delayed because of the unavailability of a tow for the vessel from Southampton.
