BBHC Mens' 1st XI hockley team extended its good form from pre-Christmas with a home win against Old Bordenians.
The hairless yet evergreen veteran Peter Stanley scored their first, but BBHC missed a great chance to extend their lead when Dan Lucas missed a penalty.
Fortunately, 2nd XI captain Derren "Doris" Westbrook was available and converted a second penalty flick.
The visitors netted a consolation goal, but BBHC held on for a 2-1 victory which sees them continue their surge into the top half the Kent/Sussex Premier Division.
Other BBHC results: Mens 3rds 2 Old Bordenians 1; Deal 2 Mens 4ths 5; Mens 5ths 1 Gore Court 0; Bluehearts 0 Ladies 1sts 1.
