Forecast for freezing temperatures

GRITTERS will be out on Isle of Wight roads tonight (Wednesday).

According to the Isle of Wight Council freezing temperatures are predicted from 2am tomorrow morning (Thursday) and the council's gritting vehicles will be spreading salt from 9pm tonight.

The council advised drivers to drive carefully in cold conditions and always ensure their vehicle was clear of any ice or snow before setting off.
