HOVERTRAVEL'S Isle of Wight sailings are currently cancelled due to adverse weather.
The company announced the suspension at 15.56 today (Tuesday).
With the hovercraft between Ryde and Southsea suspended, Wightlink says it is accepting children with Hovertravel green tickets and season tickets on its Portsmouth to Ryde fast craft, until further notice this evening.
"We're happy to be able to help," said a Wightlink spokesman.

Neil. All part of the appeal I would have thought. Can't beat a bracing walk into a 30MPH headwind with sea spray giving you a good dousing. beats playing computer games or watching Home & away. :-)

How can anybody live on an island and moan about the sea being rough once in a while..........

Sarah. I understand the frustration of commuters and travellers having travel plans disrupted. Perhaps you would rather have Hovertravel 'chance it' and ended up being rescued by the RNLI or worse. They don't cancel flights to annoy you or reduce the weight of your purse, It's to reduce the risk of you dying. (Worst case scenario)
