Immigration raids on the Isle of Wight

IMMIGRATION Enforcement raids have been carried out on the Isle of Wight today (Tuesday).

According to a Home Office spokesman, officers visited premises in Cowes and Newport High Streets and Broadway and Granville Road, Totland.

The spokesman said the teams would investigate issues including whether people were in the UK without a valid visa, or working illegally.

Results of the raids were not yet available.
