SEVERE winds hit the Island on Tuesday night, leaving several roads blocked by fallen trees and branches, and in one case an errant gazebo.
The gazebo was pulled free of its mooring and landed on Moons Hill in Totland.
Island Road crews were working through the night to clear the highways ready for the morning commute.
Little Whitehouse Road in Porchfield, Tuttons Hill in Gurnard, Green Lane in Brading, Corve Hill in Shorwell, and a section of the Military Road had to be cleared by Island Road crews by 7am.
