FOLLOWING an appeal from the National Health Service Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) service, a series of blood donor sessions have been organised on the Isle of Wight.
To protect future blood stocks, the NHSBT is seeking 100,000 new blood donors before Valentine’s Day and Islanders have been urged to get involved.
The first session was held at Cowes Yacht Haven yesterday (Tuesday). Another will be held at Binstead Community Centre next Tuesday followed by another at the Lions Day Centre, Lake, next Thursday.
Anyone wishing to sign up and book an appointment should call 0300 123 23 23.

Any plans to come over to Yarmouth? I would happily give blood but I don't really ave the time in the day to give up to troll over to Cowes, Binstead or Lake.Lots of potential donors are out West too.

I gave blood today. I know it's not the best gift to give my wife for her birthday, but it came from the heart.
