Saturday, March 18, 2017 - 7:46

IN THE wake of St Patrick’s Day, you might want to take it easy this weekend with some art or orchestral music, alternatively, you could carry on the party by taking your pick of St Patrick's themed events this evening (Saturday).
The latest exhibition at Quarr Abbey is Art, Photography, and Fibre and will be open all weekend from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
It’s comedy night at the Balcony, Ryde tonight (Saturday) from 7pm featuring amateur comics from the Isle of Wight and across the Solent.
The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra will be at the Medina Theatre this evening at 7.15pm, featuring solos from virtuoso pianist, Viv McLean.
Fresh off a UK tour which saw dates supporting Matthew and the Atlas and Oscar Wilde, RHAIN is back on the Island for a show at St Catherine’s Church Ventnor this evening (Saturday). Tickets are £8 and can be bought in advance from the Ventnor Exchange, or on the door.
Stupidity, formerly the Nightwatchmen, present the Broccoli Forest, an evening of storytelling, songs, and poetry at the Dimbola Lodge between 6.30pm and 8pm tonight (Saturday).
Cowes Trinity Theatre is a little late to the party with their St Patrick’s Day celebrations, but that doesn’t make it any less of a party. The St Patrick’s Ceilidh from 7.30pm tonight (Saturday) is an evening of singing and dancing with the band Slainte Va, plus a ploughman’s supper for £8.
Another fashionably late St Patrick’s party can be enjoyed at the Porchfield Cricket Club this evening (Saturday) from 7pm. Tickets are available from the Bailey Irish Dance Academy and are £10 for adults, £5 for children, and free for the under fives.
Get creative and raise money for charity with the Friends of the Animals, Mad Hatters walk tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm, meeting in the Shide cycle path car park. There will be prizes awarded for the most creative hats.
At Quay Arts from 3pm this afternoon (Sunday) is Three at the Quay, live music from the IW Scottish Fiddlers. Tickets are £5.
Platform One students will be performing at the Wolverton Lodge tomorrow evening (Sunday) at 7pm, raising money for medical research.
