ONE of the largest and most established digital agencies on the Island, Matrix e-Business Ltd, has become a part of the Isle of Wight County Press Group Ltd.

The move will provide support for the Wootton-based company — trading as Matrix Create — as it embarks on the next stage of its development.

Matrix has recently added a new developer to the team, to help deal with increasing workloads.

The company will stay in its existing premises and there will be no other changes.

Matrix managing director Glen Jones said: "We are delighted to become a part of the well-respected Isle of Wight County Press Group, who we have worked with for many years.

"The move will allow me more time to concentrate on developing and building Matrix. We have an excellent team of talented and creative people including Dan Wavell, technical director, Nick Dover, creative designer, and Adam Drew, solutions developer.

"We are looking forward to enhancing the services that we can offer to existing and new customers."

Robin Freeman, chief executive of Isle of Wight County Press Group Ltd said: "Matrix have helped us to develop our digital strategy over the past few years and they built our hugely popular website, which is now one of the most visited local website on the Isle of Wight with over 180,000 unique visitors every month.

"Having Matrix within our group will ensure that they can develop and expand their business and it will also ensure that other group companies have access to creative and original, digital-thinking and services."
