POP kings Will Young and McFly are the latest acts to be announced for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
They will play the Big Top on Saturday night, so expect crowds of screaming fans and sing-along pop favourites.
“I am really excited to be doing festivals again this summer,” said Will, whose hits include Evergreen and Leave Right Now.
“It’s gonna be a hot summer and I can’t think of anything else I’d like to be doing more — I enjoyed them all so much last year.”
Also added to Friday’s main stage bill are Iglu & Hartley, LA-based synth pop-rockers, and Sneaky Sound System, who will be bringing their inventive blend of house and 80s electro pop all the way from Australia.
Irish songstress Sharon Corr, who enjoyed hits including Runaway and So Young with The Corrs, has also been added to the main stage line-up. She will be performing solo material on Saturday.
The Isle of Wight Festival will be held at Seaclose Park, Newport, from June 12 to 14. For tickets and more information, visit www.isleofwightfestival.com.
