A North Finchley Rabbi was admitted to hospital with suspected salmonella following an outbreak of food poisoning after an event at Edgware Masorti Synagogue.
Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg, from the New North London Synagogue, attended the barmitzvah of minister Rabbi Chaim Weiner's eldest son, Joshua, on July 18.
Barnet Health Authority has confirmed eight cases of salmonella. An outbreak control team are currently investigating.
