THE TEAM behind a major renovation and development at a historic West Wight building has scooped a national award.
Golden Hill Homes Ltd, ermc Ltd based in Pyle Street and Classic Carpentry received the Best Domestic Extension or Conversion award at last night’s (Tuesday) National Building Excellence Awards for their work on the Grade I listed Golden Hill Fort.
Richard Mazillius, ermc director, collected the award, which he said was the result of a team effort. He also praised the work of landscape artist, David Whitehurst, who oversaw 'green’ aspects of the project.
Mr Mazillius said: "It has gone to us but recognition should also be given to the great care guys on site have taken with the project."
