WILMINGTON stormed into the fourth round of the Kent Junior Cup with an 8-3 demolition of Gravesend League side Blackhorse on Saturday.
The Oakfield Park-based side, who remain unbeaten this term, have not only had to put up with postponements for the past two weeks, but have also lost their manager, Chris Boucher, who resigned because of work commitments.
Caretaker boss Kieron Rocke had a dream start in his new role when he opened the scoring himself, converting a penalty in the 10th minute.
Martin McCarthy then scored a super hat-trick and Nick Settle added a fifth to wrap the game up before half-time. After the interval, Rocke scored again, and Andy Wood added two more goals.
Wilmingtons reserve side went to the top of the South London Alliance League with a 4-2 win over Penhill Standard.
This Saturday, the first team is at home to CWS.
