A 52-year-old pedestrian was killed in a road accident by Henley's Corner on Monday.
Traffic was brought to a standstill after police closed the eastbound carriageway of the North Circular Road and diverted vehicles onto the A1 after the incident at 5.47am by the entrance to Edgehill Avenue.
The road was reopened three hours later shortly before 9am.
David Rogers of Falloden Way, Hampstead Garden Suburb, died after he was in collision with a Peugeot 405 estate.
The male driver of the Peugeot was also taken to hospital with injuries. At time of going to press his condition was not known.
