I was disappointed to read that Simon Finch ( 'No, not the bendy bus' Times, December 13) had a slow journey on our 207 articulated bus.
While the bendy bus, an extra service, can be slow on the busy Uxbridge Road, we are learning a lot from the trial and passenger feedback has been positive.
These buses have more than novelty value.
When they are introduced on Red Arrow routes in London, with three doors that can all be used for boarding, journeys will be quicker.
This trial is part of a drive to transform bus services in London, as set out in the Mayor's transport strategy.
Bus priority measures and speedier boarding are putting buses among the hares, rather than the tortoises and snails that Simon claims to see in London.
London Buses would welcome any comments about the 207 bendy bus they can be made to our Customer Service Centre on 020 7918 4300.
