A man from Richmond was the lucky winner of a romantic holiday offered by the Guardian's sister paper the Richmond Comet on Saturday.
Mr A Elder from The Towers scooped the prize in a Christmas reader's draw at the Christmas Merrie and will spend Valentine's Day in Paris.
The event, organised by Julie Grail, Kingston Town Centre manager, also raised £1,906.
This included a generous donation from the organiser of the craft fayre, which will go towards the cost of the town's Christmas lights.
