SOUL band Shalamar will perform at Jack Up The 80s.

The New York-based band will fly in to headline the closing night of the festival.

They will join T'Pau, Toyah Willcox, Chesney Hawkes, Five, Martin Kemp, Leo Sayer, Shakatak, and S Club.

Organisers said: "Shalamar are one of the most successful Soul groups of all time, selling 25 million albums worldwide.

"They will whip the crowd into a frenzy with their slick yet playful dance routines and massive hits such as A Night To Remember, I Can Make You Feel Good, Friends, Make That Move, There It Is and Take That to the Bank.

"They are guaranteed to deliver a dynamic blend of funky feel good music.

"It's the band's first Isle of Wight performance and the perfect crescendo to the biggest party of the summer."

Jack Up The 80s takes place over August 11 and 12.

A limited number of £45 early bird tickets are on sale until February 28 and are available from jackupthe80s.co.uk and the County Press shop.
