A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD girl was inappropriately touched by a stranger in Cowes.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was touched on her bottom by a man she did not know at the junction of Mill Hill and Newport Road on Monday between 8.30pm and 8.45pm.
The girl was not hurt and ran home.
The man was described as white, in his 40s, with short dark hair and light stubble, of medium build, with wrinkled skin and wearing a dark coloured coat and trousers and a red top.
Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team have begun regularly patrolling the area throughout the week.
