Amnesty InternationalÍs new director, Kate Allen, unveiled a photography exhibition of Burma at HarrowÍs Gayton Library on Monday.
Harrow Mayor, councillor Ann Groves, (pictured left) then joined members of the Wembley, Harrow and Hillingdon groups for a talk by Ms Allen (right) about Amnesty's role in improving international human rights. The Wembley and Harrow group has adopted Burmese prisoner U Htwe Myint, who is serving a seven-year sentence in the notorious Insein Prison for distributing pro-democracy leaflets.
