Isle of Wight councillor Richard Priest and County Press deputy news editor Martin Neville, with some of the walkers.
ON the hottest weekend of the year so far, a group of walkers completed a gruelling non-stop hike around the Isle of Wight.
Isle of Wight County Press deputy news editor Martin Neville was among a group 28 walkers to set off from Sandown Pier on Saturday for a 72 mile journey around the coast.
Only eleven walkers, including Martin and Isle of Wight Councillor Richard Priest, completed the walk, which is supported by the Isle of Wight Council.
Several of the walkers were raising money for charity, such as RP Fighting Blindness.
For a full report of the walk, see this Friday’s Isle of Wight County Press on Friday, May 23.
