The event, which starts at 9am, will be held at their home ground on Bayliss Avenue, Thamesmead and funday attractions include a barbecue, refreshments and a disco from 2pm.

Entry is just £1 for adults and all the money raised will go towards an all-weather surface for junior teams to train on.

IT'S TAG TGIME: The sixth annual Tag Rugby Festival will take place at Erith Rugby Club tomorrow (Thursday).

Tag rugby is a non-contact version of the game and is played by both girls and boys.

A number of teams from local primary schools will play in this year's festival, organised by Bexley Council and Kent Youth Development Scheme, which will kick-off at the Sussex Road club at 4pm and run until 6.30pm.

RINGSIDE SEATS: A charity boxing evening to raise money for work with under privileged children will be held at The Warren, in Bromley, on Thursday, May 18.

The event has been organised for Greenwich Rotary and is in conjunction with the Trenchyard Police ABA.
