Briggs makes squad for India adventure

DANNY Briggs has once again made England's one-day and Twenty20 squads, this time for their Christmas and new year matches against India.

Spin bowler Briggs, who plays for Hampshire and Ventnor, is already in India training with the England Performance Programme squad while England's test series continues.

But he could be called into action for their two-match Twenty20 series on December 20 and 22, and one-day series, between January 11 and 27 next year.

England's top spinner, Graeme Swann, has been rested for the series, meaning Briggs could have more of a chance of selection, although he faces competition from Samit Patel.
