Lottie leads the sprint stars

Lottie James smashed her PB at the 2014 IW Sprints Championships.

SWIMMING

MORE than 100 personal bests were recorded by the swimmers taking part in the first weekend of the 2014 IW Sprints Championships at Medina Leisure Centre last weekend — with Lottie James leading the way.

The Christ the King College student smashed her PB to set a new record in the 50m breaststroke, one which had stood since 1996. It was one of three victories she enjoyed on the night, and one of two records she set.

Swimmers of all ages took part, across three disciplines, 50m backstroke, 100m medley and 50m breaststroke.
