TRAMPOLINING THERE was more success for West Wight Trampoline Club in the second of the Southern Region grade series in Southampton last weekend.
The Wightlink-sponsored team of 13 produced some excellent results.
There was team glory in the under-11s girls’ G Grade event, after the combined scores of KC Dawkins (eighth), Tarryn McLinden (ninth) and Callie Hitchcock (14th) was enough to win gold.
Elliot Griffiths took silver at the under-13s boys’ G Grade event, and also earned a qualifying score to the next grade — very good progress in just two outings.
There was also a gold Emily Boynton and Yasmine Rogerson against very good opposition in the open group synchronised competition.
In the G Grade sections, Mollie Butler competed very steadily in her first regional event for 20th in the under-13s girls, while Joella Maddin moved closer to a promotion score despite coming sixth in the under-15s girls.
Also moving closer to promotion was Amy Hodgins, who came fourth in the under-13s girls’ F Grade contest, while moving up to F Grade ladies for the first time, Laura Walton was happy to complete two routines, finishing 25th.
Competing for the first time at E Grade, Abbie Coates-Evans gained a solid sixth place in the under-13s girls’ contest, while Amelia Mills, with one error, was 16th in the under-15s category.
In the over-15s ladies’ D grade, Yasmine Rogerson came fifth, while Emily Boynton was ninth in her first competition in the same group.
Joining Emily and Yasmine in the synchronised event, Abbie and Amelia completed two routines for eighth.
The next regional event is at Abingdon in April.
