Tabard crashed out of the Tetley Bitter Cup on Saturday when they were defeated by London Nigerians.
The game was full of excitement and good running from both sides.
As London Nigerians are currently the up and coming side, and Tabard were forced to field a weakened side, the result was disappointing but not wholly unexpected.
It was a difficult game, but Tabard had their opportunities. Scrum half Michael Skinner was on form with his kicking, and in fact led for the first part of the game with two early penalties.
But a try from Nigerians' Morrison narrowed the lead to one point.
Tabard replied with another Skinner penalty, but a converted try from Nigerians gave them the lead for the first time.
Undaunted, Tabard replied with a try from Skinner, which he converted.
This should have been the half time score but, in the fifth minute of injury time, Nigerians Olusabaya scored a try, Propper converted and the teams turned round with Tabard losing 24 points to 16.
In the second half, another converted try for Nigerians stretched the lead, although Tabard fought back with a well-taken try from flanker Jag Johal.
This moment of hope for Tabard led to some exciting Rugby, but it ended in disappointment when Nigerians' Okoli scored just before time, and the game finished with Tabard defeated by 38 points to 23.
