Bromley earned a vauable away point against fifth-placed Billericay Town in their Ryman Premier League last Saturday,

But it was a case of two points lost after they let slip a two-goal lead early in the second half.

The Lilywhites, who have been slipping down the table faster than an abseiler using a greasy rope, survived a scare at their own end before breaking away to force a corner at the other, which resulted in Ian Rawlings stabbling home from close range.

Rawlings then came to the rescue at the other end when his timely tackle denied Adekola as he was just about to shoot.

Adekola was prominent in most of the home side's best attacks and he went close ten minutes before the break when his cross-cum-shot scraped the bar.

Joe Francis curved an effort round the Billericay goalkeeper but just the wrong side of the post as the half ended.

Bromley started the second period where they left off and two minutes into the half Jamie Kyle and Dean Wordsworth combined well, but Kyle's low short was cleared off the line with the home goalkeeper beaten.

But three minutes later Bromley did make it 2-0 when keeper Maurice Munden's long clearance was helped on by Frank Coles for Danny Carroll who, despite the attention of a Billericay defender, slid it under the advancing keeper for his 10th goal of the season.

But Billiercay then raised their game and they pulled one back after 64 minutes when the always-dangerous Adekola drilled a low shot past Munden.

Bromley wasted a great chance to put the game beyond Billericay in the 76th-minute when Wordsworth, barely four yards from goal, contrived to squirm his shot into the side netting.

Three minutes Bromley paid for that bad miss when St Hilaire levelled from a rebound after Munden had saved his penalty kick, awarded after the Biller-icay striker had been fouled.
