Youngsters are getting the opportunity of learning vital life-saving skills as part of the St John Ambulance and Norwich Union First Aid School Roadshow hitting the borough next week.
Research showed that ignorance of basic first aid is putting lives at risk with only one in ten knowing what to do if someone had stopped breathing and only a third being familiar with the correct procedure if someone is choking while eating.
Parents were found to be just as ignorant as children.
More than 100 schools across London will receive a visit from two St John Ambulance trainers.
