A COUPLE who met while working together at Portsmouth Police Station, Ben Jevons and Sophie Carys Iles, were married at St Mary The Virgin Church, Brighstone.
The bridegroom, a police officer, is the son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Jevons, of Saffron Gardens, Wethersfield, Essex.
The bride, a physical activity officer at Havant Borough Council, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Iles, of Main Road, Brighstone.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line ivory gown with a full-length lace train and a Swarovski crystal tiara and veil.
She carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses.
She was attended by Frances Copland and Olivia Iles (bride’s sisters), Rebekah Brewer and Lucy Packer, who all wore floral, 50s’-style dresses by Vivien of Holloway.
Joseph James Iles (bride’s brother) was best man and William Tattersall, Stephen Roake and Michael Squirrell acted as ushers.
Canon Michael Weaver officiated.
A reception was held at the bride’s parents’ home, followed by a honeymoon in Amalfi, Italy.
