ISLE OF WIGHT MEN I 6, BOURNEMOUTH 2
A CLINICAL Adam Payne hat-trick helped Isle of Wight hit Bournemouth for six to continue their excellent start to the season.

Payne had an early sighter as Isle of Wight started well, but it was the visitors who took the lead from a deflected shot.

The Isle of Wight defence kept further attacks at bay and Bournemouth’s keeper was kept busy as the hosts piled on the pressure, but it was the Dorset side who doubled their lead.

Aaron O’Hanlon-Hoare found Payne in the D and earned a penalty flick for a foul, which he executed neatly.

O’Hanlon-Hoare then found Joe Arnold who put the Island 3-2 up.

The opposition won more short corners, but their attempts were kept out by Steph Boyd in goal.

After good work in attack by Arnold, O’Hanlon-Hoare scored twice — one of his strikes a drag-flick. which rocketed home, before Payne completed the rout from another short corner.

ISLE OF WIGHT LADIES I 3, ANDOVER 4

However, Andover were first to score.

But from a short corner, Hart fired home to level it before the break.

Like the first half, Andover attacked well in the second and retook the lead — eventually going 4-1 up.

It could have been worse had keeper Tia Shutler not scuppered a string of short corner efforts.

The Islanders made a spirited late fightback thanks to Hart, who completed her hat-trick, but it was not quite enough to earn a result.
