AN ISLE of Wight football club has made an exciting announcement this evening (Monday) – revealing an Island football game involving Southampton footballing “legend” Matt Le Tissier is on the cards.
Newport Football Club is organising a Saints legends v Island legends game at Westwood Park, it has been announced.
The match will be organised in conjunction with Cowes Sports FC.
The game will feature some of the Island’s best players from the last 30 years, up against a “top-quality team of Saints legends which will include Matt Le Tissier”.

“Watch our website and social media channels for information on how you can join us on this special night,” announced Newport Football Club.
The game is scheduled for Friday, May 17, with kick off at 7pm.
