Play-off chasing East Cowes Vics suffered to a shock defeat at the hands of Folland Sports last night (Wednesday).

Vics travelled to the game sitting in fifth place, while hosts Folland were 10 places below them in 15th.

Despite dominating the majority of the first half, it was the home side who took the lead.

With 10 minutes gone, Folland went ahead against the run of play through Joshua Carey.

Chances kept coming for Vics but they just couldn't find the net and on the stroke of half-time, Folland took advantage.

They doubled their lead thanks to Freeman Nyakumbi, moments before the referee blew for the end of the first half.

After half-time, it was Vics who again saw the majority of the ball.

They had the chance to half the deficit with a penalty, but the keeper got down low to save Jacob Reynolds' effort.

Vics continued to pile on the pressure but Joshua Carey bagged his brace and his side's third of the game.

Despite dominating the match, the away side found themselves 3-0 down.

Their frustration was clear and as the game went on, they had two players sin binned.

The result means Vics occupy the last remaining play-off place by two points, although sixth side Fleetlands have a game in hand.
